Ghosts Hold Party For New CD!

Halloween may be months away, but spooks will be coming out to haunt the House of Blues on Sunday June 27th! From 7pm until 9pm the general public is invited to celebrate the world premiere of two new audio releases, 'Ghosts and Legends -The Best Ghost Stories From the South Carolina Coast! Volumes 1 and 2'. This exclusive landmark event will launch the famous Grand Strand stories of South Carolina world-wide. This will be the state's first ghost story collection ever recorded on compact disk, featuring famous personalities like Alice, Blackbeard, the Gray Man and many more.

Ghosts and Legends Theatre of Barefoot Landing, in conjuction with Precision Guesswork, LLC will be unveiling the newly produced CD's at the party and many of the vocal talents from the recording will be in attendance. The featured guest of the evening will be the talented sound designer and musical composer of the two albums, John Kilik.
(Advanced signed copies will be available exclusively at this Premiere release party.)

The two new audio compact disks each feature the most famous ghostly tales from the Low Country area. Also included are separate audio tracks of the original music inspired and composed for each story, another South Carolina first. Liner notes describe some of the creative processes implemented by composer, Kilik, who offers a sampling of lyrics written to facilitate the creation of his melodies. Also included are notes from the writer and director, Oliver Holler, who brought the live action stage show to Barefoot Landing last year.

Stories including 'Alice,' the 'Gray Man,' and others are brought to life as ghosts tell their own haunting tales themselves. Inspired music enhances their 'spirited' narratives, and a rich supply of other-worldly sound effects complete this 'aural odyssey,' as John calls it.
